This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Joshua 1:9 (NLT)
Today, I want to remind us that God’s greatness is constantly hovering over us.
I feel the need to remind myself and others of this occasionally because there are times we fail to see His magnificence in the present; instead, we tend to see it in hindsight.
One way we can recall God’s glory is by looking at Moses’ life. When we reflect on his life, it is quite easy to see God’s hand and His grand presence.
We see it in Moses as an infant when his mother put him in the Nile river. Soon after he was set afloat, he was spotted by Pharaoh’s daughter and ended up being raised in the palace.
We also see God’s great presence working through Moses as he performed miraculous acts before Pharaoh. The Lord’s magnificent power was even evident in Moses when he was filled with overwhelming guilt after killing a man because he thought that God could no longer use him.
Moses’ life is a perfect example of how God’s greatness is constantly hovering over us. It may be in the form of protection, leadership, or education. Nonetheless, it is constantly there.
The key is to have the knowledge that His hand never leaves us, and that we are never separated from it. When we carry this knowledge, we become fully empowered every day, rather than forgetting and having to reflect back.
The next time we need to be reminded that God’s greatness is hovering over us, let us cling to these words: “Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NLT)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, know that God is constantly hovering around you and within you.
