This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Matthew 6:30
This morning I am feeling the Power of God’s Springtime. Some time ago, I started what I call my God Walks. It’s a form of exercise that allows me to be in communion with God while walking without music blaring in my ears.
Recently, while walking, this beautiful patch of flowers caught my eye. They were perfectly positioned at an angle. To me, it looked like they were doing a graceful yoga stretch towards the light. In a flash, it felt like these flowers were teaching me. If these flowers were stretching towards their light, how much could I be stretching towards my light, or rather the source of my Light?
I think, honestly, I’ve mastered how to stretch my hand to God when I am in need. I’m also really good at stretching my hand back in praise and thanksgiving. Where I can grow is stretching in my worship, which is dwelling in His presence for no reason at all. I can also be more of service to others, not out of duty, but out of love.
I think Springtime reminds me of one of the ways that God loves us and when we stretch ourselves back, that is our expression of our love back to Him.
The words on my heart are, “If God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t He more surely care for you.” Matthew 6:30 (TLB)
Please find some light and beauty, as you go about your day and share that and this, with others.
Let’s stretch ourselves towards His light and let your renewed spirit be infectious.
