This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Hebrews 8:12 (ESV)
Happy 2018, B Moment listeners! I am so excited and optimistic about what God has in store for us in this new year.
I recently talked about the difference between a quest and an adventure. A quest is about something greater than yourself, where your journey leads you to helping others and you are redefined in the process. Meanwhile, an adventure is just mostly about you.
When I look to the Scriptures, I realize that the apostle Paul was on a quest. Being on a quest also entails adhering to the higher calling that is on your life.
Paul teaches us in Philippians 3 what is required if we are to be on a quest. He tells us that we will have to have the courage to forget some things.
For example, think of Paul’s past. Paul was first a very self righteous man. In fact, he was a murderer and many would have seen him as a terrorist.
However, Paul was able to let all of that go so that it no longer had power over him. So whatever you’re holding onto, throw that back to 2017 and no longer let it have power over you in 2018. As you do so, cling to these words: “I will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 8:12 (ESV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, no longer let sins of the past have power over you.
