 Scripture reference: Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV)

Transcription:

As this is Holy Week, we are walking Christ’s path to Calvary. On his walk, Jesus carried a very heavy cross, and a man named Simon was forced to help Jesus carry his cross. Simon complied out of fear of his own life, but he had an unwilling spirit.

How do you respond when God sends someone to help you, but you know the person doesn’t really want to help you? Like Simon, this person has an unwilling spirit.

In life, you never know who God will choose to help you. This person could have a willing or even an unwilling spirit and may not be the help you envisioned. However, this person’s main purpose is to get you to the next phase of your journey. This is precisely the role Simon played in Christ’s walk to Calvary.

As you reflect on that, remember these words:

“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV)

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
