Before You Go There

Scripture references: Psalm 37:7

Psalm 37 is a powerful reminder that God does not forsake His saints. It opens with: “Fret not yourself… be not envious of wrongdoers… for they will soon wither like the green herb.” (Psalm 37:1–2) Though the wicked may seem to prosper, their success is fleeting. God sees. God knows. And God will act — in His time.

Still, it’s not always easy to wait without growing weary or resentful. The key is remembering what becomes possible when you are still before God.

When you are still before Him, this is how you refrain from becoming bitter. This is how you keep from going there — into envy, frustration, or despair.

The more time you spend with Him, the less desire you have to fret.

Stillness is where your soul is refueled…where anger loses its grip and peace takes root.

Let Him restore you today. Let Him remind you: He is faithful.

As you reflect on that, remember these words: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him…” Psalm 37:7

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
