What If Your Need Isn’t the Real Issue?

Scripture references: Luke 12:31 (ESV)

There’s a pattern many of us slip into without realizing it — a quiet fear that rises whenever a new moment of need appears. You’ve seen it before: an unexpected bill comes due; a situation demands more wisdom and discernment than you think you have. And right there, fear keeps your heart tight and your mind anxious, fearing you won’t have what you need to meet that moment.

But Luke 12:30 says, “…your Father already knows your needs.” The problem isn’t the need itself; it’s that we’ve become preoccupied with the need instead of the God who meets the need.

When you become present to the presence of God — moment by moment — the grip of worry loosens. You stop chasing outcomes and start seeking the One who holds them. And in that seeking, you become freer, steadier, and more aligned with who He’s calling you to be.

As you reflect on this, remember these words: “Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.” Luke 12:31 (ESV)

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
