This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Psalm 34:1 (ESV)
Today, I am thinking about how to move out of a fog.
Recently, I have been sharing that my heart has been a little heavy. Yet today, I am happy to report that I am coming out of it.
Sometimes it’s not a heavy heart, but instead just a gray cloud or a little confusion looming over me. I can see what’s happening, but I still give into this fog because I lack the right energy to change things.
However, what I have discovered is a two-step process to move out of that fog. I talked about step one before. It’s a surefire solution to move out of any kind of fog, cloud, grief, despair, or confusion.
The first step is showing gratitude. It works like a charm every time. I start by giving thanks for the little things around me, my family, and my relationships. I have even learned to give thanks for the fog.
Then I take the next step. The second step is a question: what’s the lesson in this fog? What’s the lesson in this cloud that’s hovering over me?
If you have gratitude first and seek the lesson second, you will be amazed at what comes to you, and the speed at which that fog dissipates. The words that I use to encourage me are: “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1 (ESV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, give thanks for any fog, and watch it dissipate quickly.
