Scripture reference: Hebrews 11:1
Sometimes, God speaks a promise into your heart long before you see a single sign of it. That’s where faith begins—not in what’s visible, but in what’s whispered.
Elijah knew this well. In the middle of a drought, he declared rain. Not because he saw clouds, but because he heard God. Even when his servant saw nothing—six times over—Elijah stood firm.
On the seventh look, a tiny cloud appeared. Just a sliver of hope. But Elijah didn’t wait for thunder to believe. He cautioned everyone that if they didn’t get home before the storm, the rain would stop them, and surely a mighty rainstorm came to pass.
What has God spoken to you? Even if it’s just a whisper, proclaim it. Trust it. Walk in it. Elijah was a master of proclaiming what he heard from God and ignoring what his eyes didn’t yet see.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
