Scripture references: Lamentations 3:25
Micah 7:7 reminds us: “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord…”
Impatience tempts us to take control, especially when the pressure builds. Sarah did just that. Convinced that God’s promise had been delayed, she asked Abraham to father a child with their servant. The result brought heartache and unrest.
Her story reminds us: fear-driven choices often lead to unintended pain. But when we wait on God — even when it’s hard — we choose trust over control…faith over fear.
Waiting isn’t passive. It’s a spiritual posture that says, “I believe God is working, even when I can’t see it.” His timing is perfect. His promises are sure.
So today, resist the urge to rush. Trust that God is writing your story, and choose to wait—and watch in hope.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” Lamentations 3:25
