Start with God

Recently, I found myself in a familiar struggle. Rising early, I was eager to pour my heart into a significant project. Hours passed, and yet, nothing seemed to align. Frustration set in, and it was only later, in quiet reflection, that I realized my mistake. I had been striving to create something impactful that would resonate with others without first nourishing my spirit with God’s Word and dwelling in His Presence.

John 1:3 reminds us, “God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.” This scripture speaks to the foundational truth that everything begins with God. My efforts were in vain because I allowed myself to focus more on the outcome than the process of creating with God. 

Let His Word and Presence be your foundation, and you will find that everything else falls into place. 

As you reflect on that, remember these words – “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
