Scripture references: 1 Samuel 16:7 (ESV)
There’s something deeply comforting about knowing that Jesus sees what others overlook. He understands the quiet intentions behind your choices, the effort no one applauds, and the desire to draw closer to Him even when you don’t get it perfectly right.
Lent can bring that pressure — the desire to sacrifice well, to stay consistent, to “do it right.” But God isn’t grading your performance. He’s looking at your heart.
I’m reminded of the widow who offered two small coins. Jesus didn’t measure the amount in her hand; He knew the devotion in her heart.
So if you’re trying to walk faithfully this season and feel like you fall short, take a breath. God sees the love behind your effort.
As you think about this, remember these words: “For the Lord sees not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
