Scripture references: Luke 15:5 (ESV)
Not long ago, I misplaced one of my earrings. Of all the pairs I own, I searched for that one like no other. It reminded me of Jesus’ stories — the wandering sheep, the missing coin — each revealing a God who refuses to stop looking for what He loves.
Lent invites us into that truth in a deeper way. Whether you feel weary, distracted, or a little lost, Christ does not wait for you to find your way back. He comes toward you with steady compassion. And when He reaches you, He doesn’t scold or shame. He lifts you onto His shoulders with joy, carrying you toward wholeness.
This season is our chance to be found again — to let ourselves be gathered, held, and renewed.
As you reflect on that, remember these words — “And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.” Luke 15:5 (ESV)
