Scripture references: Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
Christmas Eve has a way of arriving with a deep exhale. The gifts are wrapped, the meals are planned, the to-do list is finally quiet. You’ve spent the season making sure everyone else is cared for, and now—with whatever energy remains—you step into celebration mode.
But before you pour out one more drop, pause.
Because Christmas was never meant to be powered only by your effort. It’s meant to be illuminated by your light… the light Christ placed within you. And when you tend to that light—when you pull away like Mary and sit in His presence—it doesn’t dim your giving. It strengthens it. One spark becomes many.
Tonight, let Him refuel you. Let His nearness steady you. And as your light shines, someone else will find the courage to let theirs shine too.
As you reflect on that, remember these words — “…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
