This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Micah 7:7 (NLT)
Today I am thinking about how God always has the final say. Lately I’ve been talking about leaping into our miracles. Although sometimes after we take that leap of faith, we can feel like we are in complete free fall.
I think this is how Moses may have felt after returning to Egypt. He did exactly as God instructed him to do but matters only became worse. Moses told the Israelites that God had sent him to free them from slavery but when Pharaoh learned about this, he forced the Israelites to work even harder.
As the Israelites suffered under this hard labor, Moses’ promises to them seemed impossible. Moses and his message soon lost credibility in their eyes; this troubled him deeply.
In Exodus 5 Moses made a plea to God. He said, “…my people are still hurting, so why did you even send me?” In other words he was asking God -“Why would you even have me take this leap of faith if it wasn’t going to yield any positive results?”
I can surely relate to Moses’ feelings. While God has not spoken to me in the form of a burning bush, He has certainly spoken to me by putting certain things on my heart to do. Sometimes afterwards though, I’m left feeling confused and not really sure why God put the assignment on my heart in the first place.
However, in Exodus 6:1 God responded to Moses and said, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh.”
What this says to me is that there is always a next move with God. We just have to hang on until He makes it.
The Words that inspire me are, “As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. ” Micah 7:7 (NLT)
Share this reflection, because others desire to be inspired. So today, do you recall that phrase – “Whistle while you work?” Well, replace that with, “Have faith while you wait.”
