Scripture reference: Hebrews 8:12 (ESV)
Transcription:
When you choose to step out in faith to embrace God’s assignment, you will be redefined in the process. This is precisely the story of the self-righteous, murderer-turned-Apostle, Paul.
Paul teaches us three key steps he employed to prevent his past from having any power over him:
- Repent – Paul was a murderer who terrorized Christians, so he needed to repent of his past.
- Release the past – As horrific as his actions were, once he repented, Paul left his past in the past; he didn’t vacillate.
- Saw himself as worthy – to take up God’s assignment.
Sometimes, we struggle to fully embrace the work God has for us because we’re still allowing choices from our past to have power over us. Today, it’s time to release all of that. Whatever you’re holding onto, repent again if that will make you feel better, and then release it once and for all.
As you do so, cling to these few words: “…I will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 8:12 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
