This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: James 1:12 (NIV)
Today, I am thinking about the moment when our faith pays off.
I had this thought because a dear girlfriend of mine just gave birth to a beautiful little girl after many years of keeping her faith. It took several procedures, but the pieces all finally came together, and she was blessed with a child. It’s a beautiful thing.
In celebrating her blessings, I have also been reflecting on my own, because personally, I know what it feels like when your faith finally pays off. In fact, I have three key takeaways I want to share with you all.
First, when we have faith in something, and we believe that God is going to answer, the first thing we should remember is that God blesses abundantly. So whatever you’re praying for, kick that up a few levels because He will deliver–oftentimes in ways that exceed your expectations.
The second thing that happens when you have faith is that more of your questions will be answered. You will get a glimpse behind the scenes and will better understand why some doors never open, and why the ones you didn’t expect to actually do.
Lastly, when you have faith–and this is something I wish I was able to do more–you are able to be encouraged that all is well, even when it seems like it’s not. In other words, you can believe that all is well and that God has the situation under control because, in reality, He does.
These are the words that I’m going to cling to as I stand in my faith, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life.” James 1:12 (NIV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, be encouraged and know your faith will pay off.
