When Abiding Becomes Your Strength

By: Suzette | Published on: Feb 4, 2026 | Categories: Uncategorized | 4 Comments

Scripture references: John 15:5 (ESV)

There’s a quiet shift that happens in your life when you stop striving and start abiding. You’ve felt the difference before. There were seasons when you pushed forward in your own strength — muscling through the project, forcing momentum, trying to make things happen. And even when you reached the finish line, something in you knew the fruit was thin.

But then there were other moments… the ones marked by ease, clarity, and a beautiful flow. Those were the seasons when you weren’t driven by the work itself. You were anchored in Christ. You were lingering in His Word, dwelling in His presence, letting Him shape your pace and your priorities.

Fruit doesn’t come from effort alone. It comes from connection. When you abide in Him — really abide — the fruit that grows in your life is richer, fuller, and unmistakably His.

As you reflect on that, remember these words — “…Whoever abides in me and I in him…bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 (ESV)

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

So today, abide in Him.

    Hey Suzette
I just wanted to catch you about on my journey into Catholicism.
I have found a church that provides me such comfort. As soon as I walked into the sanctuary I was finally able to take a deep breath and it felt like home.
    I’ve met so many people
There’s one woman in particular who has befriended me, Antonella. She’s been taking me through my journey.
I’ve been taking a class, OCIA, that prepares me for communion and confirmation which will take place on Easter Sunday. Antonella will be my sponsor.
Father Bill has also been wonderful. We talk after services. I’ve had a number medical issues come up that prohibit me from attending services. He calls me after each service to see how I’m doing.
I never realized what I had been missing from my life.
And it all started with you and your Blues to Blessings.
    Thanks and Blessing to you,
    Sheila Buralli

Oh my goodness, Sheila, thank you for updating me! Your note truly touched my heart. I’m so happy you’ve found a church home that brings you peace and a sense of community — what a blessing. It sounds like God has surrounded you with the right people at the right time, from Antonella to Father Bill, and I love hearing how they’re walking with you in this season.
Your upcoming communion and confirmation on Easter… what a beautiful milestone! I am SO excited to hear this, and I am definitely cheering you on and holding you in prayer as you continue your journey.
And thank you for your kind words about Blues to Blessings. I’m humbled that it played even a small part in your story.
Sending much love and light your way,
      Suz

Isn’t this so true — apart from Him we can’t accomplish much. He has us!

      Love & Light,

      Suzette
