Scripture reference: James 2:17
Transcription:
When the Great Prophet Elisha visits the widow who’s in debt, we see a remarkable display of faith and vulnerability. Elisha instructs her to go outside and borrow as many empty vessels from her neighbors as possible.
Imagine the courage it took for her to knock on each neighbor’s door and ask for their empty vessels without giving them any explanation. Her vulnerability reminds us to ask, even when it feels uncomfortable.
Faith often requires us to take bold and sometimes irrational steps. When we trust in God’s plan, even when it doesn’t make sense, we open ourselves to His miraculous provision. Just as the widow’s vessels were filled with oil, our acts of faith can lead to unexpected blessings.
Be led by the Holy Spirit, embrace vulnerability, take a crazy leap of faith, and watch God work wonders in your life.
As you reflect on that, remember these words – “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:17
