Afraid to Swing

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t knowing what God wants you to do — it’s finding the courage to actually do it. You feel the nudge, the pull, the quiet whisper… yet something inside keeps you standing still. You tell yourself it’s procrastination or a lack of discipline, but deep down, fear has you standing in the batting cage, suited up…but afraid to swing.

Fear shrinks your purpose down to what feels safe. It convinces you that your next step is about your performance, your success, your outcome. But God never called you to a small, self-contained purpose. He’s inviting you to walk with Him into something greater — something that shines beyond your fears.

Your swing isn’t about you alone — it’s about the lives your obedience will reach.

As you reflect on this, remember these words: “…let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father…” Matthew 5:16 (ESV)
