This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Today, I am feeling as though it is finally time for renewal.
Recently, I was talking about the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States and the massive division in the country. I know many feel as though some type of injustice has taken place and that there was, perhaps, a more honorable candidate to represent the United States of America.
Particularly when we feel these injustices, we gather in groups in order to reaffirm our feelings. Personally, I know that when I feel injustices have been done, I want to vent to others about it.
However, we need to be sure that we are not allowing ill feelings to overcome us. In fact, Ephesians 4:27 teaches us that – “Anger gives a mighty foothold to the devil.”
I recently talked about moving away from God. When we are filled with these ill feelings, it can interfere with our ability to be in the presence of God.
So let us not allow any ill will to overcome us. The words that I use to teach me are, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, release any ill feelings and renew your mind in Christ Jesus.
