This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Mark 11:23 (TLB)
Today, I am thinking that if you believe it, you can receive it.
Just a few days ago, my dear girlfriend gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. This miracle occurred after countless attempts at conception over the span of several years. Her journey to motherhood took many twists and turns, but finally, everything came together in God’s divine timing.
Being quite close to her, I can remember the many parts of her journey. In one instance, it was New Year’s Eve and we all thought that she was definitely with child. She refused to take even a sip of champagne because she believed she was pregnant, just as we all did.
It was the beginning of the new year, and we rejoiced because we thought she was going to start the year with this glorious news. However, her year began very differently than we expected, as we soon found out that she was not with child.
If there’s one word I could use to characterize her faith, it would be resilient. After we learned the news, I was worried this might not be a good year for her due to that huge disappointment at the start of it; yet somehow, she was back at it again.
She always visualized her dream and believed in her heart that she would someday walk with her child in her arms. The wonderful thing about my girlfriend is that she reminds us to carry our dreams with us and to visualize them coming to fruition.
This amazing woman was practicing what Christ teaches us in Mark 11. You can have the desires of your heart, “all that’s required is that you really believe and have no doubt!” Mark 11:23 (TLB)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, that thing you’re praying for? Believe it, and you’ll receive it!
