The Rewards of Blind Faith

Bmoments,

Bmoments, blind faith

This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Scripture reference: Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

Today, I am thinking about when God’s Will is clear, but nothing else is. You believe that God has directed you on a new path, so you’re clear about the “what,” but you’re unclear about how and when it all comes together.

Personally, this is a bit of a celebratory moment for me, because it wasn’t too long ago that I was praying to God for the “what,” or rather His Will to be revealed to me.  Now, I find myself praying to know the “how” and “when” things will work out.

When I turn to the Scriptures, I look to Abraham. God directed Abraham to leave the town of Ur, and to journey towards a new home.  This new home would be more than a thousand miles away.  During this extensive journey, I have to believe  that Abraham also had questions.

However, what Abraham shows us is that he placed less emphasis on where he was going, and more emphasis on Who he was following.

He is a perfect example of how this type of blind faith really pleases God.  Ultimately, God names him “father of many nations.”

The Words that inspire me are, “And without faith, it is impossible to please Him. He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

Tomorrow, let’s talk about small acts. Please share this reflection with others, and encourage each other towards pleasing the One who set us on this journey.

So today, remember the real meaning of blind faith. It’s not where we are going as much as Who we are following.
