This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am celebrating the fact that a mother’s love is multifaceted.
Oftentimes, her love is front and center. Other times, her love is more invisible because she is sacrificing for you, and her sacrifice is specifically between she and God.
Sometimes, her love can even be experienced as tough. As mothers there are times when we see the need to stretch our children by taking them out of their comfort zones. This is when a loving mother can be seen as not so loving! Nonetheless, she must stand her ground and hold true to her child’s growth and purpose. To the child, it can feel like a season of punishment or a season in the wilderness.
However, if we reflect on nature, we know that a tree in the wilderness will stretch its roots deeper in search of water. That is exactly what moms try to do. We try to stretch our children out of their comfort and into their higher self. When a mom inspires her child to go deeper in order to reach higher, she’s not only impacting her child’s life, but future generations to come.
What moms do you know who show many expressions of love but would really appreciate hearing that today? Share a story with her of how she’s impacted your life, and at the end, share these words with her: “She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed.” Proverbs 31:27-28 (ESV)
