Scripture reference: Deuteronomy 20:4 (ESV)
Transcription:
Many will celebrate Cinco de Mayo today, commemorating the Mexican army’s unlikely victory against the French. It’s the classic case of the smaller power defeating the greater power.
I can easily recall the times when I asked God to change my circumstances so I could be victorious, and He was more interested in changing me.
This reminds me of the time Jesus healed a blind man. The disciples asked if the man’s blindness was due to his sins or his parents’ sins. Jesus told them the man was blind so that the power of God could be seen in him.
The same is true when God gives you victory amidst difficult times. Those things that you usually ask God to take away are the same things that showcase the power of His hand hovering over your life.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
