This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want you to know how to cause any cloud of confusion to dissipate.
Sometimes I am guilty of saying that I trust God, but then I spend most of my time and energy trying to understand His next move in my life. This typically happens when I am expecting Him to answer a certain prayer and He hasn’t yet.
I spend my days trying to read the tea leaves, or I seek a glimmer of hope in each little incident that occurs. What I’m learning is that what matters most to God is not understanding Him but rather trusting Him.
I recall reading that as close as the disciples were to Christ, they didn’t always understand what he was teaching them. This was especially true when he taught using parables. In other words, the disciples often didn’t know where God was leading them or why He was leading them to that specific place.
However, as Jesus points out in the Scriptures, “My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.” The disciples may have lacked understanding, but they compensated for it with a willingness to trust Jesus.
Is there an area in your life today that has a cloud of confusion hovering over it? If so, repeat these words to your cloud of confusion: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (ESV)
