This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Scripture reference: Romans 8:26 (ESV)

Today I want you to know there’s a cost to missing your daily prayer time.

Lately I’ve had a wave of work and family events coming before me. To put it mildly, it’s been a stressful time. Typically, I’m an early riser, but this wave of work coupled with stress is causing me to have late nights, which makes it very difficult to rise early.

When this happens, it throws me off my daily routine. Lately, I’ve been missing my morning worship time, which is the time I dedicate to my prayers and studying the Scriptures. So instead of rising early to be with God, I’ve been sleeping in as long as I can.

What I’ve noticed is that this has been impacting my spirit in several ways. I’m less tolerant, I’m more impatient, and maybe even less kindhearted.

I recently shared about an incident in Target when I engaged in a back and forth exchange with another shopper. As this is the Lent season, I recently talked about taking all of my stuff to Jesus; this is the kind of stuff I am taking to him.

There will be no YouTube video today, as I am going to regroup and recover in the arms of my Father. But tune in next week to see one when I will be refreshed and renewed.

Until then, remember these words: “…the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” Romans 8:26 (ESV)

So today, remain prayerful.
