This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want you to know that your delay will be to your benefit.
This was surely the case for Joseph, who was imprisoned for twelve years for a crime he didn’t commit. Joseph wanted nothing more than his freedom. One day, Joseph interpreted the cupbearer’s dream. In turn, the cupbearer was supposed to help Joseph get out of prison.
However, once the cupbearer got out of jail, he forgot all about Joseph. Two years passed and nothing happened for Joseph. There was no sign that he would be released from prison.
In the natural realm, a two-year delay can cause you to think that your prayer will just never be answered. Yet in the spiritual realm, God is working that delay in your favor. That’s exactly what He did for Joseph.
When Joseph was released from prison, he was well-positioned to receive his appointment in the palace, second in command only to Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt. Joseph remained steadfast, keeping his heart, spirit, and mind in the right place. Meanwhile, God worked Joseph’s delay to his benefit.
As you become inspired by that, hold onto these words: “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3 (ESV)
