Scripture reference: Ephesians 4:29 (ESV)
Transcription:
Today I am encouraging you to release your insatiable desire to be right.
This is what Moses had to do when he was confronted by a group of Levites who were frustrated with him because they weren’t in the Promised Land yet, and they felt as though Moses wasn’t leading them in the right way. Moses was insulted because he was receiving his instructions directly from God.
At one point, the most amazing thing happened. During a very heated exchange, Moses fell to the ground and began to pray for the Levites.
Do you sometimes have that insatiable desire to be right? I know for sure I do. In that moment of contention, we should take a step back and do what Moses did—pray for the healing of the other person whether we believe we’re right or wrong.
As you think about that, remember these words: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up…that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
