This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am encouraging you not to settle for less.
Recently I had an experience where I had the option to take a shortcut, which meant I would pay less. The moment I decided on that option, a feeling came over me. I knew I was not making the right decision.
In fact, God was saying to me, “Choose the option that will honor you, the one that will best serve your needs, and I will make sure you have enough resources to pay for the more expensive option.” I was willing to settle for less until God reminded me what was possible with Him.
When I think about the idea of settling, I am reminded of the lame man at the beautiful gate. When this man asked Peter for money, Peter said, “I have no silver and gold to give you, but what I do have is healing in the name of Jesus.” This once-lame man not only walked into the temple, but he leaped in, praising God all the way inside.
Through this story, we see that the lame man’s truest desire wasn’t money—it was to be healed, but he settled for less because he had not considered what was possible with God. When we forget to factor in the power of God, we end up settling for far less.
Is there a situation in your life where you are settling because you have forgotten what’s possible with God? If so, remember these words: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 (ESV)
