Scripture reference: Philippians 1:6

How you see yourself and how Christ sees you can sometimes be worlds apart. This happens when we confuse the standard we set for ourselves with the actual standard God holds us to.
1st Chronicles is a book mainly about King David’s life. It makes no reference to David committing adultery, him arranging the death of another man, nor his shortcomings as a father. Instead, it focuses more on David’s heart for God and his worship of Him.
God knew before David was born that there would be areas in his life where he would fail greatly. Yet, He never denied him his life’s purpose. Do you ever silently chronicle your life, highlighting past mistakes, and allow those images to hold you back from pursuing all God has planned for you?
This Lenten season may be the ideal time to embrace God’s true view of you. As you think about that, remember these words:
“…God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished…” Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
