Wonderful, inspiring story! Magic happens on the other side of surrender. It usually takes (what seems to me) some insurmountable obstacle to have me reach up to God for help … forgetting that He is with me always. What feels like a hardship is really an opportunity to handle life in some new way, to evolve some previously unexplored talent that I didn’t know existed in me. He is always bringing us closer to Him, if only we stop whining about this or that hardship and start asking, “how is this situation bringing me closer to You and to the destiny you have for me?” Without blindness, Fanny may not have found her hymn writing gift. I am now wondering what greatness He is wanting to extract from me if, rather than putting energy into resisting my circumstances, I surrender – or melt – into them; give all my energy to whatever he has put in front of me rather than investing even 1 more drop of energy into fighting. That will be my mantra for today; let’s see what happens when I truly, fully, let go and let God!
And now your words have inspired me as I can truly be guilty of resisting at times. Today, I will shift my energy from “resist” to “embrace” and will remain open to whatever my Father has in store. Thank you for sprinkling such love and wisdom our way!
