This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
B Moment listeners, I’ve been waiting to say this for some time. Today we are on location, and I am thinking about how every step was worth it.
Graduation season is upon us, and the idea that every step was worth it is often especially true for graduates. I’m thinking about this because I’m in New York celebrating my husband’s graduation from business school.
Some of you may remember that two years ago I shared that I taped the Bible verse Joshua 1:9 to the soles of my husband’s shoes when he started business school. I did that because I wanted him to be reminded with each step of what Joshua 1:9 teaches us. It tells us to be strong and courageous because the Lord our God will be with us wherever we go.
Well today, this part of his journey has come to pass, and he will say every step was worth it.
However, there are some parts of our journey that may feel wrong, causing us to believe that the path we’re on is not worth it. For example, I’m sure Joseph felt this way when he was sold into slavery by his brothers and was put into prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
Yet Joseph was able to remember that God is always in control, even when one of the stops on his journey was a prison cell. Joseph continued to press forward, trusting God with every step. In the end, Joseph went from the prison cell to the palace.
Do you need to remind someone that every step will be worth it? If so, share these words with them: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart…and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, trust God and know that every step will be worth it.
