This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)
Today, I am thinking about that great “I am” power that is in each of us.
Sometimes, I need to be reminded of my own power when I am feeling inadequate. There are times when we may feel inadequate about the smallest things, and there will be other times when we are called to do something monumental and we feel we don’t have the necessary skills.
When I think about those feelings of inadequacy in terms of the Scriptures, I think about Moses—especially the time when God instructed him to confront Pharaoh to release the Israelites from slavery. Initially, Moses rejected the entire assignment because he believed that he was an inadequate speaker and that his words were too clumsy. In other words, he told God that he wasn’t the man for the job.
However, God responded to Moses by saying that He makes people so they can speak or not speak, hear or not hear. He went on to say that He can essentially take a burning bush, a staff, a stuttering mouth, or whatever is necessary to achieve His plan.
This is what we need to remember: for everything we are not, God is. Therefore, the words that we should embrace and carry with us when we are feeling inadequate are these: “His mighty power [is] at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, let us release any butterfly feelings of anxiety or inadequacy, and let us feel that great “I am” power within.
