This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Romans 11:36 (NIV)
Today, I am thinking about the importance of remembering to give God the glory.
Recently, I’ve been talking about how we can accomplish great things in God’s strength. Yet sometimes, we can become so overjoyed with our victories, or that a certain situation is resolved, that we forget to genuinely give God the glory. Instead, we get caught up in our own strength.
When we turn to the Scriptures, we see this was precisely the case with Joshua and the Israelites. As Joshua was leading the Israelites toward Jericho, he needed the walls surrounding the town to come down.
Incredibly, they did, indeed, come down.
When they fell, Joshua knew that it was God and God alone that caused the walls to come down.
Yet on the contrary, the Israelites became overconfident in their own strength, and when they embarked upon their very next battle, they suffered a horrible defeat. It is clear that when we focus on our own power and forget to acknowledge that it was God’s strength working through us the whole time, we suffer defeat.
The next time we need to be reminded to give God the glory, let us cling to these words: “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever!” Romans 11:36 (NIV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, remember it is God’s strength working through you, so don’t forget to give Him the glory.

Amen Suzette! Love this reminder? God’s strength. To God be the glory!??

I had this little epiphany when I was struggling to do so much but felt like I was achieving so little. This is due to the simple fact that I was attempting everything in my strength and wasn’t seeking to accomplish things in His Strength.
