Scripture reference: Proverbs 16:1

Transcription:

Do you recall those situations where things look like they’re over? Like, really over? You tried everything, prayed about it, and did what you could, but nothing changed.

But here’s what I’ve learned: it isn’t over until God says it’s over.

Take King David’s final days. While on his deathbed, his son Adonijah tried to take the throne—he gathered key supporters, held a fancy ceremony, and made it all look official. To most people, Solomon’s chances of becoming king were over. But God had already chosen Solomon.

In a dramatic turn, David arranged his own anointing ceremony. Scripture tells us the celebration was so joyous that the earth shook, scattering Adonijah’s supporters in fear.

When all hope seems lost, God moves—not to test our patience but to draw our focus back to Him. So if you’re staring at a situation that appears hopeless, don’t count God out.

And as you think about that, remember these words: “We humans make plans, but the Lord has the final word.”  Proverbs 16:1
