This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am encouraging you that God answered your prayer when you believed.
This is precisely what Jesus did for the government official who asked him to heal his son. John 4 details how the official pleaded with Christ to quickly go to his house before his little boy died. First, Christ cautioned the official and the bystanders that unless you see signs and wonders, you will not believe.
Recall that Jesus had been performing a number of miracles before large crowds, but in this instance, he would be healing this man’s son from a distance. Even without the amazement of signs and wonders, it’s important to believe. Of course, Jesus knew that the official genuinely believed, so he told him to go back home as his son would live.
Here’s the most interesting part of the passage. While on his journey back, some of his servants met him with the news that his son was alive and well. After rejoicing, the official asked his servants when his son began to feel better.
The servants responded that the day before at around 1:00, his fever suddenly disappeared. The man then realized that Jesus had told him his son would live at precisely the same time that day. It was at the precise moment his heart, mind, and soul believed.
Sometimes we look for a sign to indicate that our prayer has been answered while Christ is looking for us to simply believe. As you reflect on that, remember these words: “…All things are possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23 (ESV)
