This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)
Today, I am thinking about how God is awaiting our supernatural response.
I recently talked about imagining ourselves exhaling in the arms of God and remembering His promises to us. The next step is to give a supernatural response when things don’t seem to be going well.
A dear friend pointed me to a devotional that says when things seem to be going wrong, we need to trust God. When things seem out of control, we need to thank God.
This is exactly how Jeremiah reacted in a supernatural way. When the Israelites were exiled to Babylon, they were considered refugees, and things were very much out of control for them.
However, in this chaos, Jeremiah trusted God’s word and purchased a piece of land that he knew would fall into the hands of the Babylonians.
Jeremiah wanted to show the Israelites just how much he believed in God’s word during the chaos and before God’s promises were fulfilled. This was his supernatural response.
Therefore, when things seem to be off track, remember to exhale and be reminded that God will deliver on His word. Then, give God your supernatural response. As you do that, remember these words: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, know that God is awaiting for your supernatural response.
