This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Genesis 1:1-2 (NLT)
Today I am appreciating how God creates great works within us. Recently a dear friend was sharing how one of these B Moments had touched him. He said, “A person’s life has two significant events – the day that they are born and the day they discover their life’s purpose, meaning what God wants us to do and how he wants us to serve Him.”
While I appreciated my friend’s compliment, it wasn’t that long ago when I was truly clueless about my life’s purpose. All I had was a feeling that something was missing…that I should be doing something more…or something different.
Sometimes while experiencing this quandary I would feel so low that I would think to myself, “If I’m having such a difficult time figuring things out for myself, how can God use me? Even if I want to believe that He wants to use me, how can He when it seems like nothing is on course in my own life?”
But I have learned that it is in this place of nothingness and darkness, this place where we throw our hands up in despair that we really see the imprint of God’s Hand. It’s just when we think that nothing is happening that God is creating a great work within us.
The Words that I use to inspire me are, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.” Genesis 1:1-2 (NLT)
Please share this reflection with others so that they can also remember to rise up when times are difficult.
So today, remember the beauty that God creates out of dark places.

What great inspiration for a Monday morning! In the beginning (when it was dark) God created the great heavens and earth…and the Spirit God was hovering over…I needed this powerful message at this time, in this space. Thank you! God bless you! I love you Suzette. xo

Lavelle – yes, you really received the essence of today’s message. It is in those dark times, sometimes even if they’re only fleeting moments, that we need to be reminded what God can create from darkness. Your comments add so much because you tap into what many are feeling. Keep sharing as we love your insights!
