This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: 1 Peter 5:7 (ESV)
Today, I am thinking about how God handles things on all levels.
As I mentioned in a previous reflection, my son is preparing to go away to college this week. While he’s very excited, he’s also skeptical about whether or not he’s going to be able to fully adjust. He’s also worried that he might not like the school, since it wasn’t one of his top picks. In other words, he’s worried about the big picture of things.
However, as he’s preparing to go, I’m watching the little things—the things that appear to be insignificant—fall into place.
First of all, my son has a great roommate, and it seems as though they have a real connection. It also just so happened that his roommate was visiting Chicago for the very first time on the same day that my son had his going away party.
All these little details are lining up thanks to God’s will.
Sometimes, I try to inspire myself if I feel anxious about a big situation in my life. I encourage myself by remembering that God is covering those small details.
Today, I’m encouraging you to join me in this. What is that small thing that God recently did for you? Perhaps it was so insignificant that you didn’t share it with another person, but in reality, it was God and only God guiding your steps.
Let’s use these small blessings to inspire us to remember that if He has the small details covered, He surely has the more significant prayers covered, too. Let us release our anxiety today and cling to these simple words: “…casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (ESV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, know God is handling things on all levels.
