Scripture reference: Deuteronomy 31:8 (ESV)
Transcription:
God is with you even when you’re in a place you don’t want to be – whether it’s physical like a job or a relationship, or an emotional state.
This was the case with Joseph after his brothers sold him into slavery, and he was purchased by a man named Potiphar.
As soon as he arrived at Potiphar’s doorstep, he was placed in charge of the household as God’s favor was upon him. But this was short-lived because Joseph was falsely accused of a crime, and Potiphar imprisoned Joseph.
Yet, as the Scriptures say, the Lord was with Joseph there, too. Joseph now had favor with the chief jailer.
Sometimes, you may find yourself in a place you believe you don’t deserve to be. You may become so focused on resisting the place that you miss God’s hand of favor there with you.
As you think about that, remember these words: “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8 (ESV)
