This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)
Today, I am thinking about how God is just, so His promises must be fulfilled.
Sometimes, I get into these periods when there is one word looming across the forefront of my thoughts: when. I know God has put a vision on my heart, but I just keep wondering when He will make it all come together.
Then, I recall the prophet Isaiah’s account of Jesus’ crucifixion. This was miraculous because during the days of Isaiah, Christ had not even been born yet. However, Isaiah gave a riveting account of Christ’s death with great detail and accuracy, almost as if he had witnessed everything firsthand.
I imagine that when he shared this vivid account of the crucifixion with others, many may have even thought that Christ was coming in the next few days because of the intimate details Isaiah provided. Yet the birth and the crucifixion and the resurrection of Christ would not happen for hundreds of years.
Sometimes, we might feel that we’re so close to the desires of our hearts materializing and our prayers being answered that when we’re faced with a setback, that word creeps in again. We might begin asking when God will make it all happen.
However, what’s encouraging about Isaiah’s passage, is that it did in fact happen. God is just. So, if God has put something on your heart, it will materialize.
Let us keep that positive thought in the forefront of our minds and cling to these words: “I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, trust God and know that you’re closer than you think.
