This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am out of the studio, but I am encouraging you to celebrate your daily bread.
Recently we talked about how God will use certain life experiences to further prune us. Pruning is defined as removing unwanted parts to increase fruitfulness and growth.
It is important to recognize that you are very valuable to God, so He’s taking extra time and care to remove any behaviors or crutches that you might lean on. That way, you become solely dependent on Him. When you lean solely on Him, you will surely increase in fruitfulness and growth.
It is also important to note that the pruning process can be painful, and it can quickly cause you to adopt a “woe is me” attitude. I know personally, one very challenging pruning exercise is when I feel like I’m only being given my daily bread. God is meeting my needs but only my needs. I’m not getting anything more or less.
There are other times when I am seeking a revelation about a certain situation and I feel like God is just piecemealing information to me. It’s like your GPS is telling you to take a right at the next light, but you have no idea how long you will drive until you get to your final destination.
However, what I have learned to celebrate is that God is really investing in you. No gardener spends time pruning flowers that have no promise. As you hold onto that, remember these words: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for…your faith produces steadfastness.” James 1:2-3 (ESV)
Share today’s message and know that He is pruning you.
