This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today, I am thinking about how God will always meet our needs.
Recently, I heard a good story and when I hear a good story, I always like to share it with you. Several years ago, there was a pastor and an assistant pastor who were organizing a new church. Their first informational meeting was being held in someone’s home, and they were expecting about eighteen people. However, on the day of the meeting, the pastor learned that fifty people were now planning to attend, so they were short tables and about thirty-two chairs.
The pastor said, “We can’t appear unprepared for our very first meeting!” The assistant pastor replied, “Don’t worry. You continue to work on your message for this evening. I’ll stop back at my house, and then I’ll go out to find the extra tables and chairs for us.” The pastor said, “Sounds like a plan, but let’s have a quick prayer before you go.” I think their prayer was simply: God, send us more tables and chairs.
The assistant pastor drove home, and as he pulled into his driveway, he noticed a U-Haul truck parked next door. The sliding door on the truck was up and there were several tables and chairs inside. He couldn’t believe it. He knocked on the door and asked the man if he would be able to rent the tables and chairs. The man not only offered the tables and chairs for free, but he rode with the assistant pastor to help him set up for the evening.
I thought this was such a cute story that perfectly underscores how God never misses. He is always there to meet our needs. Be comforted today in knowing that just as God heard their prayer and met their needs, He is doing the same for you. As you reflect on that, remember these words: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (ESV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, remember that He never misses.
