This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Matthew 7:26 (ESV)
Today, I am asking a question: Is God trying to get your attention?
Recently, I talked about quirky holidays, specifically how October 19th is Evaluate Your Life Day. I especially focused on how I sometimes don’t like to evaluate my life because there is always something there that I’ll need to work on or change.
However, God recently conveyed to me that I need to actually begin to change something that I’ve been postponing for a long time. It’s interesting because His direction came to me while I was studying Samson’s story.
As you may recall, Samson was chosen by God to save the Israelites from the Philistines. Yet there was a time in Samson’s life when he moved away from God. He knew he needed to make a change, but he didn’t. He continuously ignored the signs God gave him.
In the end, Samson turned back to God and asked for His help and for His strength. The irony though, was that although Samson killed more Philistines in that final battle after asking for God’s help, he also ended up losing his own life that day.
The key takeaway here is that we don’t want to accomplish our life’s purpose but then not live to enjoy it and give thanks for it. We want to have time to use our story to make a good example for others to come.
With this story, God is surely trying to get our attention, and so let us cling to these words to remember: “And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.” Matthew 7:26 (ESV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, is God trying to get your attention?
Michelle White-Lafitte
Oh yes Sue, God has my attention and I thank HIM for being there for me in good times and bad. I always ask him to guide my path and be a lamp unto my feet. Without Jesus I am nothing. I count on him for everything. Most importantly, I will never cease in prayer. A prayer to GOD will forever be my lips. Thank GOD and Sue Webb.
Sisterly,

Love this! Thank you Suzette for all these daily blessings?

As we know, He will often try from different angles to get our attention. It’s our job to be self-aware. Thanks for sharing!
