This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am reminding you that some situations occur so that you will know God even more.
By knowing Him more I mean that you will witness firsthand what He is capable of and will experience the perfection of His timing in your life. This was the case for Mary and Martha (the sisters of Lazarus) and even for many Jewish people.
When Lazarus became very ill, his two sisters both sent word to Jesus to ask him to come and heal Lazarus. Yet when Jesus finally arrived, Lazarus had already been buried for four days.
Lazarus and his sisters were very well-liked throughout the village of Bethany, so when he died, many Jewish people visited his home to comfort his sisters.
On the day the largest crowd visited them, Jesus ordered Lazarus to rise from the grave, and his life was fully restored. After witnessing this miracle, these Jewish people knew Jesus even more.
Initially, Mary and Martha knew Jesus as a teacher and a healer. Yet after they had gone through the ordeal of losing their brother, they knew him even more. They now knew him as the life and the resurrection.
Is it possible that God may be allowing you to go through something today because He wants you to know Him even more? As you reflect on that, remember these words: “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (ESV)
