This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am in awe at how God can break up to make up.
Do you remember this saying from your dating days? Break up to make up. This usually meant that the break up of the relationship wasn’t permanent, but it was a tactic used by one person to get the other person’s attention.
As the COVID-19 pandemic becomes more of our new normal, I can’t help but think that God is allowing us to become somewhat broken to get our attention. In Hosea 6, the prophet teaches us that the Lord has torn us to pieces, now He will heal us. He has injured us, now He will bandage our wounds.
You may ask, “Why is God trying to get our attention?” Only God knows this answer, but my hunch is because He has become less of a priority in our lives. We have begun to quench our thirst from so many other sources, forgetting that He is the living water—that water we can drink from and never thirst again.
Recall the exchange Jesus had with the Samaritan woman at the well. When she learned about his living water, she forgot all about the water she fetched from the well and ran back to tell her entire town.
