Today, I am thinking about how God is creating the perfect moment to deliver things for you.
We recently talked about how trust far outweighs understanding. We discussed how as close as the disciples were to Jesus, they often didn’t understand him. Yet what they lacked in understanding, they compensated for with a willingness to trust in Jesus.
If I am to confess my weakness, I struggle with trusting God’s timing on things. As much as He has always delivered on time and has never been late, I still find myself fretting over His timing.
One passage that inspired me was a time when Jesus was in the temple, and the Jewish leaders attempted to arrest him but couldn’t. Think about this for a moment. The conditions were perfect for Jesus to be arrested, but the time itself wasn’t right.
Jesus was, in fact, in his season since shortly after that incident, he was arrested. Yet he had to be arrested at that precise moment that was created for him.
This precise timing inspires me because it reminds me that so much is going on behind the scenes. When it seems as though God isn’t answering, He is actually at work, creating the perfect moment to answer our prayers.
Join me today in thanking Him in advance for being at work, creating this perfect moment. As you do that, remember these words: “At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)
