This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want you to know that God will make things happen all the sudden for you.
Recently I shared about how tornadoes wreaked havoc on parts of the southeast. One couple lay still in their bed, praying, while a tornado splintered the rest of their home. Many storm victims were already out of work due to COVID-19, and now they’re out of a home too.
After the storm, I’m sure many storm victims walked around the perimeter of what used to be their home, surveying all the damage. Many may have walked around in despair, seeing their rebuilding process as too long and overwhelming.
Today, be encouraged because when God is doing the rebuilding, he can do it all of a sudden. This is exactly what he did for Joseph, who had been in prison for twelve years. Year after year, appeal after appeal, Joseph worked tirelessly to get himself released from prison, to no avail.
Here’s how God works. In the morning, Joseph was in a prison cell. By evening, he was in the palace, soon to be named the second in command of all of Egypt. Notice that he didn’t have to go through the steps to reestablish his name in society or to find employment. When God acts, He is never bound by time.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Peter 3:8 (ESV)
