This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want you to know that God will validate you among the crowd.
The crowd could be a group of nay-sayers or even see you as beneath them. This is exactly what Jesus did for Bartimaeus, a blind beggar. Bartimaeus was sitting on the roadside among a great crowd when he cried out, “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me!”
When several in the crowd heard Bartimaeus’ plea, they immediately rebuked him and told him to be silent. They saw this blind beggar as a nobody, someone who was socially insignificant. Meanwhile, Bartimaeus ignored the crowd and continued to call out to Jesus.
Jesus saw his continued cry for healing, despite the disapproval of the crowd, as an act of faith. Jesus stopped and called Bartimaeus to him. In an instant, the crowd’s attitude changed from one of rebuke to one of encouragement. In fact, one person even said, “Take heart! Get up; he is calling you.”
In that moment, Christ validated Bartimaeus among the crowd and the crowd never saw him quite the same again. Be encouraged today because at just the right time, God will shine your significance among the crowd.
As you anticipate that moment, remember these words: “He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” Psalm 37:6-7 (NIV)
