This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 (NLT)
Today, I am thinking about how God is at work within me.
Recently, I was talking about how God is at work; now, I want to bring that to a personal level and talk about how God works within us. I had this thought as I was reading about the quirky holidays in the month of October, and I learned that October 19th is Evaluate Your Life Day.
When I read that, I paused because sometimes I’m not in the mood to evaluate my life. Whenever I evaluate my life, I always uncover a place where I need to make a change—sometimes even in my core, where everything is second nature to me. Those are the things that are the most daunting to change.
However, what I lose sight of is that I wouldn’t be embarking on this change without tapping into God’s strength. While the task seems so daunting, and truly is daunting in my strength, I have to remind myself that I am doing this in His strength, too.
When you pinpoint that one thing you know you need to change, but that seems daunting, remember to turn it over to God because He is at work within you.
During those times I take something like that on, I cling to these words: “Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time He said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’” 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 (NLT)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, know that He is working within you.
